Sketchy guy steals Obama's teleprompter!

http://www.nbcchicago.com/blogs/ward-room/obama-teleprompter-theft-sentencing-202640431.html

Friday, April 12, a young man by the name of Eric Brown was sentenced to seven years in prison after stealing President Obama's teleprompter. Mr. Brown agreed the seven-year sentence without much argument at all! Why? The answer is in his criminal record! While Brown may have only stolen the Presidents Teleprompter on April 12, he was about to be accused of fourteen similar thefts he had already committed! Turns out police had been looking for Brown way before this incident and are happy to finally bring him to justice. The Terms of the trial were simple, if he agreed to the seven-year sentence, the other fourteen charges would be dropped! However, he could still face charges in Stafford County, which did not join Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico counties (the other counties he was accused of criminal activity in) in the agreement. In these counties, Brown is accused of three dozen crimes including burglary, drug possession, identity fraud and grand theft auto stretching back more than three decades.
I think it is ridiculous that Brown was able to steal government property so easily! Sure he was caught this time, but if the government is just leaving their equipment out in the open, of course someone is going to try to steal it! If the government can't even prevent robbers from stealing their stuff, how are we supposed to feel safe in our own homes? Especially if it is taking our police three decades to find people like Brown! This criminal was on the loose for far to long! He had stolen plenty of other things and committed plenty of other crimes before they were unable to find him. Then he stole from the government, they were able to find him in a matter of days! If it takes crime against the government to bring people to justice, the people of the USA are going to see a rapidly growing crime rate.

Sketchy Bingo Player

http://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2013/03/20/Bingo-offender-banned-from-saying-word/UPI-96881363806985/
Austin Whaley never thought that his seemingly harmless prank could lead to so much trouble. The eighteen year old from Covington, Kentucky and some of his friends went to the local Bingo Hall last Monday, hoping for a good time. Trying to make the hall a little livelier, Austin falsely yelled out "bingo” shortly after the game had started. The crowd was clearly not amused as depressed moans sounded throughout the crowd. Once the caller had found out Austin did not have a winning card, he went on and resumed calling other numbers.
Then, two or three numbers later, Austin once again falsely called out "bingo". This process continued a few more times until someone in the crowd was angry enough to call the police. He was quickly charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and is not allowed to say "Bingo" again for the next six months. Police say if they catch him playing or saying Bingo again during this time frame, he will be sentenced to ninety days in jail and a two hundred and fifty dollar fine. In addition to the court's jurisdiction, he is banned from the hall for a year and will most likely never be able to play there again.
I think it is ridiculous for anybody to think they can disturb a game of Bingo like this! This man was clearly trying to be funny in front of his friends and cost others the great experience of a good Bingo game. It is unfortunate that we have to deal with people like this in today’s society because all they do is disrupt the peace of others. He needs to learn to follow God's golden rule and treat others the way he wants to be treated!

Sketchy Playground

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/9857513/Childrens-playground-in-Cotswolds-fenced-off-for-being-too-colourful.html
A children's playground in the Cotswold, North Carolina has been fenced off while local residents argue whether it is too brightly colored. This playground, being one of the better-known parks in the area, was a major attraction to the neighborhood until some residents decided they disliked the color scheme. They say it may distract ongoing drives, and could lead to accidents.
Redrow Homes offered to repaint the swings and other equipment darker colors, but the residents weren't only upset about the color. They also thought the size could be a distraction, and wanted the entire park to be smaller as well.
Elizabeth Lloyd, a resident near the park, said her four-year-old son and two-year-old daughter are desperate to play on the equipment. She thinks the complains are ridiculous because the only people complaining are the people without kids. She went on to tell reporters that it was because of that park that she bought her 450,000-dollar house. She loved the idea of her kids being able to go right outside and play with the equipment. Now, she wishes the park had never been there at all.
I think it is absurd that these children are being punished for a couple of angry neighbors who don't want a park! They need to go back to when they were kids and think about how magical a park was for them. Everybody has been to a park before, and everybody knows that they are a miraculous to kids of all ages. The park does not have neon colors so its not like it is going to blind drives. It’s almost like these residents just want to suck the life out of the neighborhood. They need to stop being so selfish and realize that there is more to life then your own happiness.

Matthew Todd of Boaz is one sketchy guy

http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/01/30/16773955-police-for-er-getaway-man-tries-to-use-ambulance-pair-of-horses-stolen-cars?lite

Twenty-four year old Matthew Todd was in a car accident last Friday after drinking at the local bar in Boaz, Alabama. Drunken driving accidents happen all the time, so this wasn't abnormal. The police came and he was admitted to Marshall Medical Center. The day seemed about rapped up for young Matthew, until he made one bad decision after another.
Matthew convinced the nurses that he needed to go out and have a smoke. Although it is against hospital rules, Matthew insisted that it was absolutely necessary, and without it, he refused to corroborate. So he went out to smoke a cigarette.
Then, out of the corner of his eye, he sees an ambulance (still running with the keys in the ignition). He then proceeded to steal the ambulance, and drive away. Still extremely intoxicated, Matthew crashed the ambulance on a tree out side a farm. He then stole a horse and attempted to mount it. He failed miserably and found a SUV outside. He hot-wired it, and drove away.
Not long after that, he totaled it, found another SUV, and stole that one too. He was then pulled over without resist, and was taken back to the hospital. He is now in Marshall County Jail on $7,500 bail. He has two charges of auto theft and one count of burglary.

This all started because this man was allowed to drink too much at a local bar. I don’t think we should outlaw beer, but I do think we should make a restriction on how much one person can drink at a bar.
It is also ridiculous that the hospital allowed him to smoke for any reason. Smoking kills people and I am flabbergasted that this was allowed. These nurses should be fired for not keeping an incredibly intoxicated person inside their hospital, with somebody watching him at all times!
With all this said, it is still completely Matthews fault for not being a responsible twenty four year old man. He could have hurt, not only himself, but also many other people. The community of Boaz was lucky this time, but if we continue to allow people to make bad choices like this, people will get hurt.

Owls were always sketchy birds

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/9827609/Man-needed-hospital-treatment-after-owl-attack.html
Fifty eight year old Jack Mackay needed hospital treatment after an owl visually attacked him from behind on last Saturday (January 26, 2013). Jack was taking a stroll near the Masonic Club on Gordon Terrace in Inverness at around 9:15pm, when a sharp pain was felt in the back of his head. At first, Jack thought someone had thrown a brick at him, but then he turned around to find a bird had been the cause. He then put his hand to the back of his head, feeling the blood gushing out of him. He quickly ran to the Masonic Club, where the staff called an ambulance. Once at the hospital, the doctor told him the wound wasn't as bad as it had originally appeared. He got to choose to have his cut stitched, stapled or glued, and he opted to have it glued.
At first, this may only seem like a strange event, but when you look closer, I think you can see a message being sent to the entire human race by this owl. Clearly we as humans aren't providing animals with enough of their natural habitats. This owl attacked this man as if to say enough! We need to make more wildlife preserves so these animals can have space to roam freely!

Manti Te'o's Sketchy Girlfriend

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2013/01/manti-teo-girlfriend-hoax.html
Manti Te'o, a Notre Dame star linebacker, lead his team to an outstanding season this year as their only loss was to Alabama in the BCS National Championship game. Manti dedicated his season to Lennay (his girlfriend) and his grandmother, both had pasted away, and many saw him as a role model for doing so.

Lennay and Manti had never met in person. They met over the social networking cite known as facebook. Soon, over text and messaging, they had felt like a real connection was formed and started "dating." Then, her brother, Kainoa, called him on April twenty-eighth, telling Manti that Lennay had been in a horrible car crash and was in a coma. Monti was devastated, but never did he go and visit her. Finally, she got out of her coma, and they started talking again. Then, Manti got news that she had gotten leukemia. Once again he was devastated, but they talked on the phone every night, and by reading bible passages to each other, they were able to get through it. Then she pasted away...

He was not able to attend her funeral because before Lennay had died, she made him promise not to miss a football game for it. Her funeral was held on the day of the Michigan game, and Manti sent her white roses, as she would have wanted. Then, the truth broke out!

There was nobody by the name of Lennay at Stanford, the school she had been telling him she attended. In fact, Lennay never existed at all. It was all just a big hoax, a mean prank to be played on Manti by Ronaiah Tuiasosopo!

This is clearly not something that was entirely Manti's fault. Manti was trying to do something nice for his girlfriend by dedicating the season to her, and had no idea it was a hoax. Even though he did lie about meeting her in person, I feel very bad for him. He is clearly embarrassed by the situation and people should leave him alone! It’s hard enough for him to have to deal with the hoax, but now he has to deal with the media and everyone else! This has happened to thousands of people, as shown on the popular TV show Catfish, and I don’t believe people are being very understanding to Manti's situation just because he is a star athlete. If you were in his situation, would you want this kind of publicity on TV about you?

My sketchy past

I have been going to Prep for two years now, and still I feel my classmates dont know everything their is to know about me. To start, I was born in methodus hospital on April 24th, 1997. I have one older brother, who is currently a junior at prep, named justin. As a baby, i was often call "cute" or "adorable", which may be the typical response to a baby, but I have managed to stay cute and adorable over the years. My life was great, but then came one of the worst things any child should have to face at five years old. I played piano for four terrible years. The hatred I had for that instrument was not comparable to anything on this earth. I would even say it was torture for a kid at my age to sit for fourty five minutes a day and play that cursed black and white music maker. My mom could see that I was never going to share her dream of playing the piano, so she got me a guitar. At first I rather enjoyed it, as i had a dream of becoming a rockstar and playing in a band, but the dream ended early. I stopped playing the guitar because I simply never had the time to practice. I was to busy studying for school, or playing a sport that most people in the United States call "soccer." Soccer is not only my favorite sport, it may also be the greatest sport of all time. Now that you all know of my passions, i thought i might inform you of my first vacation (that i can remember). It all started when I was ten years old, and we were going to go on a road trip to Colorado. I was going to ski for the first time, and was clearly very excited. As we pulled out of our drive way, and onto the road, i fell asleep. I woke up, not to see glorious mountains out my window, but the auto shop. Our car had broken down, and our trip was postponed for about a week. Finally, we went on the road, and found the wonderful ski resort in Denver, Colorado! I loved it their, and to this day it is still my favorite place.
